Seemingly Unrelated Mixed-Effects Biomass Models for Black Locust in West Poland

چکیده
Information about tree biomass is important not only in the assessment of wood resources but also process preparing forest management plans, as well for estimating carbon stocks and their flow ecosystems. The study aimed to develop empirical models determining dry mass aboveground parts black locust trees components (stem, branches, leaves). research was carried out based on data collected 13 stands (a total 38 sample trees) located western Poland. model system developed multivariate mixed-effect using two approaches. In first approach, height were defined dependent variables, while diameter at breast used an independent variable. second variables Both approaches enable fixed-effect cross-model random-effect prediction locust. Cross-model obtained additional measurements extreme trees, characterized by smallest largest plot. This type more precise (root mean square error stem both equals 77.603 188.139, respectively) than that fixed-effects 238.716 206.933, respectively). use variable increases possibility practical application proposed solutions remote sources.

Optimal design for multivariate observations in seemingly unrelated linear models
The concept of seemingly unrelated models is used for multivariate observations when the components of the multivariate dependent variable are governed by mutually different sets of explanatory variables and the only relation between the components is given by a fixed covariance within the observational units. A multivariate weighted least squares estimator is employed which takes the within un...

This article considers the seemingly unrelated regression (SUR) model first analyzed by Zellner (1962). We describe estimators used in the basic model as well as recent extensions.
متن کاملSeemingly unrelated measurement error models, with application to nutritional epidemiology.
Motivated by an important biomarker study in nutritional epidemiology, we consider the combination of the linear mixed measurement error model and the linear seemingly unrelated regression model, hence Seemingly Unrelated Measurement Error Models. In our context, we have data on protein intake and energy (caloric) intake from both a food frequency questionnaire (FFQ) and a biomarker, and wish t...
متن کاملRandomized Shortest-Path Problems: Two Seemingly Unrelated Models
Suppose you have to route agents through a network from a source node to a destination node in some optimal way; for instance by minimizing the total travel cost. Nothing new up to now – you could use a standard shortest-path algorithm. Suppose, however, that you want to avoid pure deterministic routing policies in order, for instance, to allow some exploration of the network, to avoid congesti...
متن کاملSEEMINGLY UNRELATED NEGATIVE BINOMIAL REGRESSIONy
The seemingly unrelated Poisson (SUP) model (King (1989a), see also Aptech (1994)) is a model for bior multi-variate counted outcomes. Correlation between equations is introduced through a convolution structure with a common additive factor. Previous economic applications include the joint analysis of voluntary and involuntary labour mobility (Jung and Winkelmann, 1993) and the number of recrea...
